Setup a Flavors.me Custom Domain from 123-Reg

Flavors.me is an easy to configure landing page that can be the hub to various website one posts to on the web. It is a free service but with Flavors.me Premium Service there is the option to add a custom domain to the web page. So instead of a URL of flavors.me/neilboyd, I can have neilboyd.co.uk. This shows how I set up the custom domain with a domain name registered with 123-reg.co.uk.

1. 123-reg Control Panel

In a Browsers: Sign in to 123-reg.co.uk Control Panel

1. Under Domain names choose the Your domains: website name to work with
2. Click Manage

2. Advanced domain settings

1. Click Manage DNS (A, MX, CNAME, TXT)

3. A, CNAME and TXT records

Under A, CNAME and TXT records

Replace the existing Content numbers with the Flavors.me IP Address: 184.73.237.244

1. Replace the @ address
2. Replace the www address

4. Update DNS

Scroll down the Change DNS page a little way until you see the Update DNS button:

1. Click Update DNS

5. Logout of 123-Reg

Unless you are wanting to do something else in the Control Panel, Logout of 123-Reg.

6. Flavors.me homepage

In a Browser: Go the the Flavors.me homepage

1. Click Login in the top right of the browser window

7. Enter Login detail

Enter Username and Password then click Go to my site button.

8. Settings

Again in the top right of the browser window:

1. Click Settings

9. Settings : Account : Custom Domain

On the Settings : Account tab, in the Custom Domain section:

1. Enter the custom domain name in the Connect a domain box

10. Settings : Account : Save Changes

1. Click Save changes button

Note it may take upto 72 hours for the changes to fully take place but can work much sooner.
